#TeamTuesday: Meet the Staff – Joe Bruno

When did you start working at ProComm?

Fall of 1998.  I actually played on the ProComm softball team before I worked here.

Favorite things about your job?

ProComm is like a family, and getting to talk to talented and interesting people all over the country and beyond.

When I’m not at work, I spend my time:

Playing soccer, playing guitar & bass (and just bought a clarinet), taking photos, Zumba, yard work, going to see live music, watching documentaries and lots of soccer on TV

Favorite concert(s) you’ve attended?

The Who at Carter-Finley Stadium, Sade with Digable Planets, Mark & Maggie O’Connor, Merlefest, Pearl Jam, Zappa Plays Zappa

Favorite album?

Purple Rain soundtrack

Favorite Movies/TV?

Star Wars / The Americans / PBS / LA Confidential / Adaptation / Anonymous / English Premier League

What kinds of pets do you have?

a walker hound, beagle, miniature dachshund & tabby cat

What is one of your favorite vacations you’ve taken?

Isla Mujeres, Mexico for a wedding…and lots of friends were there.

If we looked in your refrigerator, what would we find?

Broccoli, spring mix, pine nuts, hot sauces, soy milk, cheese

If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose to be and why?

A Cardinal because they have style, have an agreeable chirp and can glide in the wind

What event do you remember most fondly from high school?

Winning a state championship in wrestling (at 101 pounds – yowza)

What, or who, are you a “closet” fan of?

Well…I have a Katy Perry ‘unplugged’ record that I like…shhh

Over the course of your life, how many cities have you lived in and which was your favorite?

Seven….Asheville is probably tops…Tampa Bay area a close second.

Dream career if not working at ProComm and could make a living:

Making documentaries, musician, photographer… (is crossword puzzling a career path?)
